About the Centre/Service

Croydon Hills Primary School Kindergarten (interim name) is a brand-new two room kindergarten opening on the Croydon Hills Primary school site in 2026, offering state-of-the-art facilities and a unique opportunity to shape a high-quality early learning environment from the ground up. We are seeking a highly motivated Early Childhood Teacher who will take on the Nominated Supervisor and Educational Leader responsibilities to deliver an exceptional 4-year-old program.

Description

The successful applicant will demonstrate a strong understanding of VEYLDF and the National Quality Framework, and contribute to establishing a culture of excellence, inclusion, and innovation in the kindergarten's first few years.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement and evaluate an engaging play-based learning program for 4-year-old children
  • Provide pedagogical leadership and fulfil NS/EL responsibilities where required
  • Ensure compliance with the National Law, National Regulations, Child Safe Standards, and Department policies
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with families, staff, and the school community
  • Maintain accurate documentation, assessments, and planning cycles
  • Contribute to establishing a positive, inclusive, culturally safe kindergarten environment

Qualifications

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)
  • Current VIT Registration (Early Childhood Teacher)
  • Experience gained in Early Childhood, Nominated Supervisor role
  • Strong organisation and planning skills, including high attention to detail
