Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Divisional Director Critical Services to join our growing team.
Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer and Chief Operating Officer, the Divisional Director of Critical Services will provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure achievement of divisional goals and embed a culture of continuous improvement. This role is pivotal in delivering contemporary multidisciplinary models of care, strengthening clinical governance systems, and driving service development and quality initiatives. The successful candidate will lead change, foster collaboration across teams, and champion LRH's values to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

The role of Divisional Director Critical Services is:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership to the Critical Services Division, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and performance targets.
- Oversee the delivery of high-quality clinical care and implement best practice standards across all services within the division.
- Drive service development, quality improvement initiatives, and efficiency measures to achieve key performance indicators.
- Collaborate with LRH Executives, General Managers, clinical leaders to integrate multidisciplinary models of care.
- Lead the development and monitoring of the Division's business plan, budget, and compliance with governance and accreditation standards.
- Promote a culture of learning, research, and innovation, including the advancement of clinical trials and education programs.
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:
- MBBS or equivalent with fellowship of a relevant medical college.
- Proven experience in managing clinical services and leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong understanding of public health administration, funding models, and clinical governance frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to implement change strategies and deliver operational improvements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a commitment to collaboration and person-centred care.
- Research experience and a passion for fostering education and innovation with clinical settings.

LRH cares for a population of about 300,000 and is the regional provider of specialist services. Our catchment covers 42,000 square kilometres, from Phillip Island to Mallacoota in the far east of Victoria. LRH offers cardiac care, surgery, medical, renal, emergency care, aged care, women's and children's services, pharmacy, allied health and rehabilitation. Medical and radiation oncology are offered by the Gippsland Cancer Care Centre.
Now is an exciting time to join the LRH team, with the $223.5 million expansion completed in March 2024, offering improved maternity and paediatric facilities, larger intensive care unit, increased medical and surgical beds and additional operating theatres.
