Stellantis Australia are seeking to engage a Regional Technical Specialistin Queensland to join their Aftersales team. This position is responsible for providing brand specific technical support and training to the Stellantis Dealer Network. This includes technical training, advice, and support in the diagnosis and rectification of vehicles, whilst ensuring a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service and continuous improvements in the provision of technical services to all stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Provide timely and accurate technical support and remote diagnosis of technical cases submitted by Dealer Technicians.
- Provide hands-on technical support and advice to all Stellantis Dealers and service providers within the nominated region, with a key focus on complex vehicle fault diagnosis and rectification;
- Provide technical training to Stellantis Dealers on a regular basis, including new model launches, new workshop set-up activities, along with targeted Stellantis systems training where specific dealer technical knowledge gaps are identified;
- Monitor daily Vehicle Off Road (VOR) and roadside assistance towing reports within the region, making contact with each relevant dealer or service provider to ensure that effective repair plans are in place to minimise VOR time;
- Identify and promptly report on any vehicle safety or quality issues observed within the region;
- Deliver technical advice and support to Customer Care, Business Development Managers and other key corporate stakeholders who require assistance within the region;
- Attend face-to-face meetings and maintain direct contact with Stellantis customers for highly-escalated concerns or circumstances where a need for factory technical representation has been identified by Technical Services management.
- Develop continuous improvement recommendations and actions to deliver our goals in providing exceptional service and support to our automotive technicians and customers within the region;
- Assist with Tribunal cases to provide technical expertise and advice and attend mediations and hearings as a Stellantis representative where required.
- Work collectively with all Aftersales departments to improve training completion metrics and overall technical competency in the dealer network.
Requirements
- Qualified Automotive Technician.
- Minimum Certificate III in Light vehicle mechanics or equivalent.
- 5 years or more experience in an automotive technician role.
- Technical experience with Stellantis brands preferrable.
- Proven complex diagnostic skills – mechanical and electrical, including but not limited to vehicle CAN architecture, immobiliser and advanced driver assist systems.
- Robust knowledge of vehicle diagnostic tools, both brand-specific scan tools and industry standard (e.g. oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, NVH analysers).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – verbal and written.
- Ability to influence, coach and lead individuals and groups within an automotive business environment.
- Solutions driven with the ability to work under pressure.
- Highly coordinated with excellent attention to detail.
- Team player, always with the customer in mind.
- Flexible to undertake varying work with changing priorities in a dynamic fast paced environment.
- Ability to travel extensively.
