**Join Our Team: Experienced Heavy Float Driver Wanted**

Gatt Bros Transport is a family - owned Australian company with 40 years experience in construction and civil haulage across Victoria and interstate. Specializing in the transport of heavy construction equipment and building materials.

We are looking for a fit, motivated, and well-presented Float driver to undertake regular Melbourne, metro & regional, deliveries as required.

Key Requirements and Experience:

  • Current Heavy Combination Non-Synchromesh
  • Must have extensive experience in moving all earth-moving equipment and general knowledge in construction equipment
  • OH&S Induction card (White Card)
  • Polite, respectful, and well-mannered
  • Good communication skills
  • Great work ethic and can-do attitude
  • Excellent presentation skill
  • Construction Plant Competency tickets
  • Available  to work nights and weekends if required
  • Plenty of overtime available

Skills & Duties

  • Drive heavy construction machinery onto and low loader floats.
  • Load and unload various heavy construction equipment, such as excavators, dozers cranes, and all types of construction materials etc.
  • Ensure trucks and equipment are operationally ready, conducting basic maintenance and documenting tasks.
  • Float various plant machinery as required.
  • Comply to NHVR at all times regulations at all times.
  • Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions safely and efficiently.
  • Adhere to truck driving regulations regarding size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Wash equipment regularly to prevent debris accumulation, damage, and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Coordinate machinery actions with other activities on site.
  • Refuel machinery as needed.
  • Complete daily delivery documents accurately.
  • Emphasize safety and quality, striving for zero loss or damage and taking accountability for actions.
