Full-Time Junior Sous Chef
Are you an experienced chef with a passion for high-quality food and fast-paced kitchen environments? A well-established hospitality group in Sydney is looking for a dedicated Sous Chef to join our growing culinary team.

We specialise in contract catering and events, delivering exceptional food experiences across a variety of settings. With expansion underway, we're seeking individuals who are committed, reliable, and eager to grow with a forward-thinking business.
The Role
This is a hands-on leadership position ideal for a skilled chef who thrives in a high-volume bistro-style kitchen in the Eastern Suburbs. You'll be working closely with senior kitchen leadership to maintain high standards, support the team, and contribute to the ongoing success of the venue.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and service preparation
- Maintain consistent food quality and presentation standards
- Supervise, train, and support kitchen staff
- Assist in menu planning, recipe documentation, and cost control
- Manage stock, inventory, and supplier orders
- Uphold all food safety and hygiene regulations
- Maintain a clean, efficient, and safe kitchen environment
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 8 years of experience in professional kitchens, including time in a Junior Sous Chef or similar leadership role
- Proven experience in high-volume bistro or similar fast-paced kitchen environments
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A passion for food, quality, and teamwork
- Culinary qualifications and food safety certifications
- Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident – sponsorship is not available
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
- Recent references required as part of the recruitment process
- Full Australian Driver's Licence preferred
