Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Dream Drafting Sydney Full time $50,000 - $80,000 per year

About Us

Dream Drafting Sydney is a leading architectural and building design firm based in Norwest, Sydney. We specialise in delivering high-quality residential and commercial projects, working closely with builders, developers, and private clients to create exceptional spaces. With a growing portfolio and a reputation for precision and creativity, we're looking for the right person to join our team.

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a junior project administrator/designer or cadet to grow their career in the architectural and building design industry. This role is perfect for a 3rd or 4th year Architecture, Design, or Construction Management student—or a recent graduate—who is ready to gain real, hands-on experience in all stages of design and project delivery.

You'll work directly with our senior designers and director, gaining exposure to:

  • Coordinating with clients, consultants, engineers, and councils
  • Preparing and managing project documentation, drawings, and schedules
  • Assisting with design development, compliance, and approval processes
  • Supporting the team with quoting, procurement, and variations
  • Liaising with builders and suppliers during project delivery

This role offers an excellent pathway into project coordination or architectural design, with mentorship and the chance to work on diverse, real-world projects.

What We're Looking For

  • Currently studying (or recently graduated in) Architecture, Building Design, or Construction Management
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and plans
  • Organised, proactive, and eager to learn
  • Basic knowledge of project timelines, approvals, and building processes
  • Familiarity with drafting software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) is a bonus

Why Join Us?

  • One-on-one mentoring from experienced designers and project managers
  • Flexible hours to accommodate university schedules (3–4 days/week)
  • Work on a variety of architectural and building design projects across Sydney
  • Friendly, collaborative team environment with genuine growth opportunities

If you're passionate about design, keen to develop your skills, and want to work with a supportive and forward-thinking team, we'd love to hear from you.
