Are you passionate about building inclusive, connected communities? Do you thrive on creating meaningful programs that support wellbeing and social inclusion? We are looking for a dynamic and community minded individual to join our team as a Community Development Officer.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, deliver, and support evidence-based community development initiatives that promote social, inclusion, and wellbeing.
- Build sustainable partnerships with local community organisations and stakeholders.
- Support the implementation of Council's strategic plans, including the Regional Public Health Plan and Disability Access and Inclusion Plan.
- Administer and manage Council's Community Grants programs.
- Conduct community engagement, research, and analysis to identify service gaps and inform future planning.
- Prepare high-quality reports, proposals, and funding submissions.
What You'll Bring
- Tertiary qualifications in community development, community services, health/social planning, or a related discipline.
- Experience in planning, delivering, and managing community projects and activities.
- Strong skills in grants administration, community engagement, and project management.
- Excellent communication, networking, and interpersonal skills.
This position is offered as a permanent position on a full-time basis, classified at Level 4 under the City of Burnside Administration Employees Enterprise Agreement 2023.
