The
Legal Counsel
is responsible for providing timely, effective and strategic legal advice on everything from large-scale corporate and real-estate transactions to corporate compliance, construction matters, disputes, workplace relations, operational issues, debt/equity matters.

Key responsibilities:

The key focus areas of the role will include (but not limited to):

• Legal Advice & Compliance
  : Provide strategic, solution-focused legal advice across the business. Support governance, manage risk, and ensure legal compliance.
• Contracts & Documentation
  : Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements and legal documents with precision and efficiency.
• Stakeholder Engagement
  : Build strong relationships with internal teams, external advisors, and government bodies. Manage external legal providers to ensure commercially sound outcomes.
• Risk Management
  : Identify and mitigate legal risks, support expansion into new development areas, and promote a culture of legal awareness across the business.

Here's what you'll bring:

• Qualifications
  : Law degree + current Australian Practising Certificate
• Experience
  : 3–6 years post-admission, ideally with 1+ years in-house and exposure to corporate or real estate law
• Legal Breadth
  : Commercial contracts, corporations law, property, construction, IP, privacy, compliance or litigation experience viewed favourably
• Strategic Thinking
  : Ability to provide clear, commercial legal advice on complex issues
• Communication
  : Strong written and verbal skills with confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels
• Problem Solving
  : Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong ownership
• Team Player
  : Collaborative and adaptable, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
