About the Role

The Accreditation and Development Coordinator is responsible for end-to-end management of assigned higher education accreditation projects. This includes a broad range of tasks centered around new course development, accreditation and compliance, ensuring their alignment with institutional priorities, standards and regulatory requirements. The role will involve project coordination in consultation with key stakeholders across multiple teams in the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

Course Development/Review

  • Project Management & Coordination: Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and documentation for all course development and review projects.
  • Accreditation & Compliance: Ensure all projects and activities meet regulatory standards, manage the preparation of all accreditation submissions (e.g., for TEQSA), and coordinate timely responses to feedback.
  • Quality Control & Collaboration: Work with disciplinary leads and academic schools to ensure course development processes meet all academic and professional standards.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement in the course development/review process, including academic leaders, subject matter experts, external independent experts, and internal governance bodies, to ensure academic and operational alignment
  • Provide secretarial support for Course Advisory Committees
  • Provide inputs for reports to the Academic Board and Board of Directors on course accreditation

Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to internal continuous improvement initiatives related to course development, review, and accreditation
  • Contribute to the development of relevant academic policies and processes in keeping with plans and objectives.

Education, experience and skills

  • Postgraduate tertiary qualification
  • At least five years of experience in an administrative role within a higher education provider.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading quality assurance, accreditation processes, or curriculum governance within a higher education environment
  • Demonstrated experience in academic course development and implementation, with a thorough understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g. TEQSA)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead, influence, and collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Proven capacity to manage competing deadlines and deliver outcomes with accuracy and clarity
