We are now looking for a
Furniture Buyer / Category Manager
to join our Sydney team and play a pivotal role in shaping our product range and strategy for the Australian market.

Role Overview

As a
Furniture Buyer / Category Manager
, you will be responsible for selecting, sourcing, and managing product ranges tailored to the Australian market. You will work closely with our HQ merchandising team to ensure that product assortment, pricing, and strategy reflect local consumer preferences and market trends. This role requires strong commercial acumen, market knowledge, and the ability to bridge global product strategy with Australian consumer demand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Select, source, and manage furniture product ranges (SKUs, fabrics, finishes) for the Australian market.
  • Provide pricing and market insights to HQ merchandising team.
  • Conduct consumer and competitor research to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Develop pricing and product strategies to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams on product launches, promotions, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Act as the key liaison between HQ and the Sydney business for all assortment decisions.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as a
    Buyer, Category Manager, or Product Merchandiser
    in furniture, home, or retail industries.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian consumer trends and market dynamics.
  • Expertise in product selection, pricing, and SKU management.
  • Commercially minded with excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
