About Us

We are a fast-growing construction company delivering high-quality building projects across Melbourne. Our team takes pride in precision, teamwork, and delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients. Due to continued growth, we're seeking an Estimator to join their dynamic estimating team in Notting Hill.

About the role

This role is perfect for someone with 2+ years of estimating experience in the construction or building industry who is eager to grow their technical and commercial skills.

You'll be part of a supportive team that values accuracy, learning, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate quantity take-offs, estimates, and tender submissions for residential and commercial projects.
  • Interpret and analyse building plans, drawings, and specifications to produce cost estimates.
  • Liaise with builders, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain pricing and negotiate competitive rates.
  • Maintain and update pricing databases and supplier information.
  • Support the senior estimator and project managers in pre-construction and project planning phases.
  • Assist in reviewing project documentation to identify risks, variations, and opportunities for cost optimisation.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

  • 2+ years of experience in a construction or building estimating role (residential or commercial).
  • Strong understanding of building terminology, construction methods, and materials.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret building plans, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam - and attention to numerical accuracy, as well as strong Microsoft Office skills. Bizprac knowledge a definite advantage
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work under deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach.
