ABOUT THE ROLE

We currently have exciting opportunities for Mechanical Project Engineers to join our team. These are project based roles with the following key responsibilities:

• Lead the mechanical design team on assigned projects, including coordinating and allocating tasks
• Attending sales and project review meetings
• Develop system designs and layouts
• Manage design schedule, budget and work orders
• Liaise with Project Managers, architects, builders, consultants and purchasing team
• Check and approve drawings, calculations and technical documentation
• Develop mechanical installation work packages and inspection and test plans
• Provide technical support and advice to other areas of the business and junior employees
• Assist with system commissioning and testing

The candidate will be responsible for managing the mechanical design and delivery aspects of large and complex integrated systems. This will include managing resources at a project team level, controlling relevant budgets, adhering to the overall project schedule, working with other teams in a cross functional design aspect and reporting progress to the Mechanical Design Manager.

ABOUT YOU

Ideally you will have the following experience and skills:

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering
• Knowledge of Dematic products and systems
• Knowledge and understanding of mechanical engineering processes
• Experienced in use of Syteline project & product management modules
• Experienced AutoCAD designer
• Moderate Autodesk Inventor skills
• Experienced in use of motorcalc and docreg software
• Experienced in Microsoft Project scheduling
• Competent in use of Microsoft Office software (word, excel, powerpoint)
• Competent in preparation of technical documentation including product & training manuals
• Experienced in building and architectural design co-ordination
• Experienced in hazard identification and risk assessment generation
• Competent in preparation of engineering budget estimates for PCS
