The Role:
The Head of Digital Workplace Enablement is a newly created strategic role within Medibank's Enterprise Technology Services leadership team. This role is designed to drive the adoption and effective use of digital workplace technologies, enhancing workforce digital dexterity, productivity, and engagement.
Working in close partnership with PAI, this role sets and executes the digital workplace strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and employee experience outcomes. It leads initiatives that promote technology adoption, education, and training, and builds a network of enablement agents and champions to foster grassroots engagement and feedback.
With a strong focus on measurable impact, the Head of Workplace Enablement identifies and manages goals, success metrics, and reporting frameworks to demonstrate the value of enablement efforts across the organisation.
The Responsibilities:
- Define and execute a digital workplace enablement strategy in collaboration with PAI and other business stakeholders, with a clear focus on improving employee experience.
- Establish goals, success metrics, and reporting frameworks that measure the impact of enablement initiatives on user satisfaction, productivity, and digital dexterity.
- Promote a culture of user-centred design and continuous learning across the organisation.
- Monitor emerging technology trends and leverage workplace analytics or digital employee experience management tools to ensure initiatives are driven by objective data.
- Drive adoption of digital workplace technologies through targeted engagement programs that prioritise ease of use, relevance, and employee value.
- Lead education and training initiatives that empower employees to use technology confidently and effectively in their roles.
- Create and manage a network of enablement agents and champions to support peer-to-peer learning, feedback loops, and grassroots advocacy.
- Facilitate or oversee enablement and awareness events (Ask the Expert, Immersion Experiences, webinars, lunch and learns, etc.)
- Oversee the creation, management and awareness of the centralized repository of technology enablement resources (videos, how-to, quick-start guides, etc.)
- Study capabilities and use cases for generative AI to transform the workforce technology experience.
- Partner with internal teams including PAI, Corporate Communications, and Technology Operations to ensure enablement efforts are aligned with employee needs and organizational goals.
- Collaborate with product owners and service delivery teams to embed enablement into technology rollouts and change initiatives.
- In collaboration with the Squad Lead – Workplace – Governance, identify, monitor, and publish user experience metrics, adoption rates, and feedback insights to inform continuous improvement.
- Provide regular reporting to leadership on the effectiveness of enablement programs and their contribution to workforce productivity and engagement.
- Utilize workplace analytics to inform decisions on space utilization, collaboration patterns, and employee behavior.
- Define KPIs and reporting frameworks to measure the impact of Workplace initiatives.
- Be an active member of the ETS leadership team.
- Lead a high-performing enablement team focused on delivering exceptional user experiences and driving measurable impact.
- Foster a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive team culture that champions digital enablement across the enterprise.
- Support and mentor the team with career development, workload management and operational delivery and continue to build capability through mentoring, training, and development.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support across the broader ETS Hub.
- Promote a culture of empowerment, accountability, and inclusiveness.
- Drive Medibank's people strategies by continuously driving a high performing culture, increasing capability, and actively managing talent.
- Foster strong partnerships with key internal teams including IT, Spaces, HR, and operational functions.
About You:
- 10+ years of experience in a similar or related role, demonstrating deep expertise in various end user computing, workplace technology and device management technologies including InTune, M365 & AVD.
- Expertise in modern workplace technologies, including M365, Intune, Azure Virtual Desktop
- Excellent Interpersonal skills. Ability to work across business lines at senior levels to influence and effect change to achieve common goals.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. This includes the ability to explain digital concepts to business leaders and business concepts to technologists, and to sell ideas and processes internally at all levels, including the executive and Board.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability. Combines and organizes information into meaningful patterns; identifies underlying relationships, causes and effects; and combines pieces of information to form conclusions or general rules
- Familiarity with security models, threat detection, and response strategies.
- Ability to pivot and respond to emerging threats that impact the digital workspace.
- Demonstrated leadership in building and managing Workplace functions
