Administration Support Officer (Student Services/Reception)

Due to our current Administration Officer being seconded to another area, we have a vacancy for apart-time Administration Support Officer (4 days per week/ 8am - 4.15pm/ 42 weeks per year/0.7077FTE) at our Duncraig Secondary School campus to commence on Monday 19 January 2026 until Friday 23 October 2026.

As a welcoming face of the School, the position will have a high level of student and parent interaction as well as supporting the Reception Desk which involves receiving visitors, handling mail, telephone switchboard and other administrative duties.

Selection Criteria (each point to be addressed)

Skills and Experience

  • Current HLTAID012 in Education certificate
  • The Working with Children (Criminal Record Checking) Act 2004 applies for anyone working in child related employment
  • National Criminal Record Checking (except Teaching staff)

Personal Competencies

  • Sound IT skills, customer service and/or reception experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The capacity to successfully manage competing priorities, maintain attention to detail and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated high level skills in dealing confidentially and courteously with people at all levels
  • Demonstrate initiative and take a proactive and flexible approach to tasks
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively as a member of a team
  • Willingness to positively and actively contribute to the Christian culture of the School
