Role Overview

We are partnering with a leading financial services organisation to hire a
Technical Business Analyst
for a high-impact role focused on digital transformation, data-driven banking initiatives, and core platform optimisation.

This position is ideal for an experienced and analytical professional who thrives in enterprise-scale banking environments, enjoys solving complex business challenges with technology, and excels at collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, document, and analyse both business and technical requirements from stakeholders across retail, corporate, digital banking, HR, and payroll domains.
  • Support the delivery of strategic, enterprise-wide initiatives, including:
  • Development of Customer 360 and Product 360 data products to strengthen customer insights.
  • Core banking platform optimisation and enterprise tool rationalisation.
  • Decoupling of legacy systems and migration to modern digital platforms.
  • HR systems enhancement and Payroll Data optimisation, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Streamlining of service management and regulatory compliance processes.
  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable documentation such as functional specifications, process models, and user stories.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, HR, and compliance teams to ensure technical solutions align with business and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops, contribute to solution design, support testing cycles (UAT/SIT), and assist with change management activities.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Hands-on experience with HR systems and Payroll Data, with strong data fluency as a core requirement.
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Data Lake and Data Warehouse use cases in financial services.
  • Customer 360 and Product 360 data product development.
  • Core banking platforms and service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Management).
  • Practical experience in enterprise tool rationalisation and platform optimisation.
  • Excellent documentation, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills across both business and technology teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced environments while working independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in banking, financial services, HR technology, or payments industries.
  • Familiarity with agile delivery methodologies and enterprise transformation programs.
  • Exposure to regulatory projects (e.g., APRA, CPS 230, open banking initiatives) highly desirable.
