Senior Technical Business Analyst,

We are seeking a highly capable Senior Technical Business Analyst to join our Cybersecurity Uplift Program. This role will work closely with Cybersecurity, Risk, Technology, and Delivery teams to drive uplift across Asset Hardening, Vendor SaaS Security Uplift, Identity Access Management Uplift (RBAC, IAM and PAM), Vulnerability Management, and Control Maturity Uplift streams. You will be instrumental in shaping requirements, defining and managing work in Jira, ensuring initiatives are traceable, risk-aligned, and delivered with clarity; as well as creating alignment across multiple stakeholders in technology, cyber and business streams for deliver.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with cybersecurity and IT stakeholders to elicit, define, document, and validate business and technical requirements
• Translate security-related objectives (e.g. asset hardening requirements) into actionable and testable work items
• Map current vs future state processes and identify gaps and remediation requirements
• Support the uplift and implementation of 3rd-party risk assessment processes, including control frameworks, tooling, and reporting
• Maintain and manage Jira epics, stories, and tasks aligned with delivery squads
• Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives to ensure velocity and delivery alignment
• Assist in developing reporting dashboards, RAID logs, and stakeholder updates
• Work with vendors and internal risk/compliance stakeholders to align third-party security risk standards with enterprise frameworks
• Help define acceptance criteria and contribute to UAT or validation activities

*Your Experience:*

• 4+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, ideally in a financial services environment
• Demonstrated experience in Cybersecurity uplift projects, particularly in IAM \ PAM, General Asset Hardening, Vulnerability Management, or Third-Party Risk
• Preferred experience across Vendor \ Cloud technology stacks (SaaS)
• Hands-on experience managing work using Jira and Confluence (creating and managing epics, stories, workflows)
• Strong understanding of risk management, regulatory obligations (e.g. CPS 234, ISO 27001, APRA standards)
• Experience working in Agile and hybrid delivery models
• Exceptional communication skills – able to translate complex technical concepts into business language
• Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills

This 12 month maximum term contract is Sydney-based and requires Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency, or full unrestricted work rights for the duration of the contract.
