Full-time, permanent role

Are you passionate about improving the quality of healthcare and community services across Australia?

Do you thrive at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and stakeholder engagement?

This is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of health and human service delivery — through strategic initiatives that enhance safety, experience, and outcomes for communities nationwide.

About the Organisation

Our client is a trusted national leader in quality improvement, accreditation, and standards for Australia's health, community, and human services sectors. Guided by a vision of
Excellence through continuous improvement
, they empower providers to elevate patient safety, service experience, and operational performance.

Their work is informed by robust data insights, customer experience reports, and feedback surveys, enabling evidence-based decision-making and meaningful, measurable outcomes across the sector.

The Opportunity

As the
Strategic Growth Officer
, you'll work closely with the CEO to identify, develop, and deliver growth opportunities aligned with the organisation's long-term strategic plan. You'll be at the forefront of driving new initiatives — from preparing high-impact business cases and funding submissions to developing strategic partnerships and exploring new markets.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys translating strategy into action, fostering collaboration across teams, and creating tangible value through data-driven insights and innovative thinking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop strategic growth opportunities across the health and community sectors.
  • Build and maintain a forward pipeline of business development prospects and tender submissions.
  • Conduct market research and data analysis to inform strategic priorities, policy responses, and new initiatives.
  • Prepare compelling business cases, funding applications, proposals, and government briefs.
  • Represent the organisation at key sector conferences, forums, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Align strategic priorities across business units, ensuring seamless communication and implementation.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government, peak bodies, and sector partners.

About You

You are a natural connector and strategic thinker — someone who can see both the big picture and the fine details. You're comfortable engaging with diverse stakeholders and have a knack for turning ideas into actionable, measurable outcomes.

You'll bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in health, management, business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience leading projects or strategic initiatives in a not-for-profit, public, or corporate environment.
  • Strong skills in business development, stakeholder engagement, and project management.
  • Analytical acumen, with the ability to interpret data, trends, and customer feedback to inform strategy.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication — able to craft clear, persuasive, and professional documentation.
  • A proactive mindset, adaptability, and the ability to work effectively both autonomously and collaboratively.

What's on Offer

  • A unique opportunity to influence the strategic direction of an organisation improving lives across Australia.
  • Direct exposure to the CEO and senior leadership team.
  • A supportive culture built on
Kindness, Accountability, Collaboration, Trust, and Leadership.
