Two Opportunities available in Brisbane. FSR & Configuration Manager

Opportunity 1: Field Service / Maintenance Technician - Defence Equipment**

Location: Logan, Brisbane

Full time, permanent: Monday to Friday (no weekends).

Competitive Package including bonus.

Your new role:

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on modern Defence equipment. The role involves both workshop and field service work supporting Commonwealth contracts. Tools, equipment, and specialist training are provided.

This role offers the successful candidate an opportunity to work on innovative defence projects, whilst being provided with specialist training, mentorship and development within an excellent team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver planned, routine, and ad hoc maintenance for defence products.
  • Support project teams and stakeholders
  • Maintain equipment availability and manage resupply of spares
  • Perform mechanical repairs per manuals and manager direction

Requirements:

  • Australian Citizenship - mandatory,
  • Experienced as a qualified technician
  • Experience with diverse machinery with a mechanical background.
  • Solid experience in maintenance.
  • Current driver's license
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Opportunity 2: Configuration Manager**

Prior experience & understanding of Australian Defence Projects & Products is crucial to be successful in this role.

Location: Central Brisbane based

Full time, permanent: Monday to Friday

Requirements and key responsibilities:

  • Strong leadership capabilities - whether through prior experience, or the ability to step into leadership for the first time.
  • Solid prior experience working on defence projects/products.

  • Must have prior experience in:

  • Defining and document product baselines (functional and physical), manage version control and track changes throughout the product life cycle.

  • Developing configuration plans, processes, and procedures that not only maintain accurate databases but also foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Managing the Configuration Management System to ensure accurate recording of product configuration.
  • Facilitating Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings to review, evaluate, and approve/disapprove change requests (Engineering Change Requests - ECRs/Engineering Change Orders - ECOs).
  • Maintaining Configuration Management Plans (CMP) and all processes pertaining to CM.
  • Maintain and update configuration documentation (drawings, technical specifications, software versions, bills of materials, etc.) in accordance with product and project requirements.
