Join a leading Defence ICT program delivering secure, large-scale datacentre infrastructure. As an Infrastructure Engineer (L4), you'll work within a highly skilled multidisciplinary team to design, deploy, and maintain enterprise hardware and virtualisation environments across multiple datacentres.

  • Long-term Defence contract supporting a critical national program
  • Canberra-based role working onsite across secure datacentres
  • NV2 or higher security clearance mandatory

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain infrastructure hardware across dispersed datacentres.
  • Develop detailed design and operational artefacts to support ongoing sustainment.
  • Perform capacity planning, firmware updates, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Collaborate with project and technical teams to deliver secure, resilient infrastructure solutions.

Core Technologies & Tools:

  • Virtualisation & Datacentre: VMware VCF, VMware Software Defined Data Center (SDDC), NSX-T (East/West Firewalling)
  • Compute & Storage: HPE Compute and Storage (RCG/CLI), iSCSI, Fibre Channel
  • Networking & Security: Cisco IOS-XE, Cisco NX-OS, Cisco ACI (SDN), Palo Alto NGFW
  • Automation & DevSecOps: Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD methodologies
  • Configuration & Asset Management: CMDB management, firmware version control
  • Security & Compliance: ISM, Essential Eight frameworks
  • Collaboration Models: Agile team environments, below-the-line project delivery

You will Bring:

  • Proven experience managing datacentre infrastructure in secure or classified Australian Defence environments is mandatory
  • Strong technical grounding across VMware, HPE, Cisco, and Palo Alto ecosystems plus the technologies listed above
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Australian Citizenship and current NV2 (or higher) clearance
  • Current OSA and previously held OSA highly advantageous
