The Role

We are expanding and we are looking for a Technical Support & Service Technician to join our growing team as we diversify our portfolio and strengthen our presence in the Lift Industry. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to work with cutting-edge electronics and software solutions while ensuring top-tier customer service and technical support.

In this position, you'll be responsible for managing technical support and service activities, primarily in-house with occasional on-site visits where required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to customers, ensuring efficient troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Deliver responsive and professional customer support via phone and email.
  • Support customer training and project handovers to ensure successful deployment and user adoption.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining technical documentation and internal knowledge base resources.
  • Conduct product commissioning remotely and occasionally on-site where required.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and repair products, including circuit board-level repairs, while ensuring quality assurance.
  • Liaise between customers and internal teams including RMA, Projects, R&D, and Technical Assembly.
  • Configure products for customer-specific projects.
  • Diagnose, repair, and process Return Merchandise Authorizations.
  • Prepare cost estimates for RMAs and remote technical services.

Technical Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in computer & IP networking principles
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational & time management skills
  • Ability to use a soldering iron and operate electronic test equipment (e.g. multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.)
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical schematics and product manuals
  • Qualifications in Electronics, Computer Systems, or a similar technical discipline with a strong technical foundation
  • Preferably 2+ years of prior experience in an Electronic Service & Technical Support environment
  • Hold a Full Victorian driver's licence
  • Ability to work autonomously while also being a team player
  • A positive, proactive, "can do" attitude
