  • Opportunities are available for education, simulation, and structured courses such as ACEM's EMC and EMD.
  • MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.
  • Aus/NZ/Competent Authority: Completion of a minimum of 4 post graduate years or more working in an acute hospital setting with a minimum of 12 months in an Australian Emergency Department as a Career Medical Officer, Trainee or Senior Resident Medical Officer.
  • Standard Pathway Applicants, completion of a minimum of 6 post graduate years or more working in an acute hospital setting with a minimum of 2 years in an Australian Emergency Department working as a Career Medical Officer, Trainee or Senior Resident medical Officer.
  • Whilst not a strict selection criteria, preference will be given to applicants with anaesthetic/ ICU experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, including providing leadership and direction to ensure appropriate management of patients.
  • Demonstrated time management, problem solving skills and excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and computer skills, with minimum of 30 words per minute. Along with evidence of continuing professional development and commitment to self education.
  • Demonstrated understanding of how the District is Caring for the Coast and how this role would contribute.
