About the role

VANN BOMA Engineering is seeking an experienced Senior Civil & Structural Engineer to join our team in Sydney, NSW. As a full-time role, you will play a vital part in the design and delivery of a variety of infrastructure, residential houses, industrial and commercial projects across the region. Remote and flexible work options are available for this position.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead the design and engineering of complex civil and structural projects, including residential houses, civil infrastructure, bridges, commercial buildings, and other small to large-scale projects
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop innovative and cost-effective engineering solutions
  • Conduct site inspections, perform structural assessments, and provide technical advice to clients
  • Ensure all projects comply with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations
  • Mentor and support junior engineers to develop their skills and expertise
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our engineering practices and procedures

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, with 5+ years of post-graduate experience
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or equivalent is highly regarded
  • Proven track record of delivering successful civil and/or structural engineering projects
  • Excellent technical problem-solving and design skills
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Proficient in the use of engineering design software, such as Microstran, Spacegass, AutoCAD, ETABS, and/ or SAFE
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
  • Great sense of business management and understanding client relations
