Senior Civil Estimator – FRP Works Specialist

Location: Sydney NSW

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

About the Role:

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Estimator with a strong background in Formwork, Reinforcement, and Concrete (FRP) works to join their small dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale civil infrastructure projects, contributing your expertise to deliver accurate and competitive tenders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for FRP works, including material, labour, and equipment.
  • Analyse project specifications, drawings, and requirements to develop accurate tenders.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and commercial teams to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Identify risks and opportunities within tender submissions and provide innovative solutions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, pricing, and industry standards.
  • Mentor and guide junior estimators to foster team growth and development.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in civil estimating, with a focus on FRP works.
  • Proven track record in tendering for large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in estimating software
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Right to work in Australia without sponsorship
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
  • Experience in first principles estimating and cost build-up methodologies
