About the Role

The Internal Auditor plays a key role in continuous improvement and promoting better practice risk management by:

  • identifying areas for improvement, promoting accountability, and recommending actions that strengthen compliance, efficiency, and integrity across operations
  • planning and undertaking a range of financial and non-financial internal audit projects
  • working with stakeholders to identify and recommend practical and pragmatic improvements to address issues identified
  • being responsible for end-to-end internal audit processes, from scoping through to reporting
  • providing independent and objective assurance on the effectiveness and efficiency of internal processes and controls
  • monitor and coordinate reporting on the implementation of past audit actions
  • providing guidance and advice to management on requirements to complete outstanding actions

This is a full-time, ongoing role, based in the Melbourne CBD.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Tertiary qualifications in commerce, or business
  • Professional certification such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
  • At least 4 years' experience in an internal audit role
  • Experience within the not-for-profit or government sector desirable

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a Working with Children Check
  • Have the right to work in Australia on a full-time permanent basis
  • Undergo a National Police Check before commencement
