About the role:
A leading multinational corporation located in the CBD are looking for an Internal Auditor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive audits, assessing commercial controls, identifying control deficiencies, and ensuring compliance with SOX requirements.
The responsibilities:
Reporting into the Global Head of Audit, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);
- Conduct thorough audits across various departments to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls.
- Assess commercial controls and pinpoint deficiencies, recommending corrective actions where necessary.
- Ensure compliance with SOX regulations by maintaining and documenting control frameworks.
- Perform detailed walkthroughs of processes to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
- Analyze process flows and create flowcharts to visually represent current procedures and controls.
- Develop and implement internal control policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive process understanding and control implementation.
- Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to senior management with actionable recommendations.
The successful applicant will have:
Ideally, you will be a fully CA qualified accounting professional with experience in a Chartered environment as either an internal auditor, external auditor or working in industry already as an internal auditor. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as your ability to interact and engage cross functionally within the business will be crucial to your success.
