We're on the lookout for a Finance professional to join us as an Auditor on a 12-month contract. This is the perfect role for someone who thrives working in different environments, has strong financial acumen, a curious mindset and the ability to work independently.

We are on a big journey at ScotPac pushing the boundaries of SME lending. We started our journey over 30 years ago with a very relationship focused approach helping the SME market with their cashflow requirements. Customer relationships remain in our DNA.

How you'll make an impact:
In this role, you will use your strong analytical skills and attention to detail to support the business in delivering appropriate funding solutions to our clients by conducting audit fieldwork and identifying impactful audit outcomes. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in innovation and growth of the business by challenging processes and identifying areas for improvement and increased efficiency.
What you'll do:
- Conduct onsite audits and risk assessments
- Perform assessments of business internal systems, account functions and position of all statutory payments (including Income tax, GST, PAYG, Super)
- Minimise or eliminate losses by monitoring risk and detecting potential client breaches of policy
- Analyse the financial information provided by clients to assess the financial standing and identify key risks of clients/prospects
- Ensure the highest level of service is provided to our clients
- Prepare, plan and schedule field audits
- Prepare and present field reports and escalate concerns
- Recommend solutions to any problems identified at the audit
What you'll bring with you:
- Previous experience in an audit or accounting role within financial services essential
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Strong financial acumen with a curious mindset and a keen eye for detail
- An understanding of commercial finance solutions including Debtor Finance or Trade Finance preferred
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
- The ability to build credibility and positive working relationships with clients and stakeholders while remaining professional and objective.
