About the opportunity
We're seeking a highly skilled Assessor Auditor to join WorkSafe Victoria's Advisory & Licensing Division in this ongoing position. In this specialist role, you'll help ensure that Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) and Individual Assessors (IAs) involved in High Risk Worklicensing meet their regulatory and legislative obligations.
This is an opportunity to apply your technical knowledge and auditing expertise in a role that directly contributes to the safety of Victorian workers and workplaces.
Whilst this position is based out of our Geelong Headquarters, this is predominantly a field based role, which will require field visits and regular travel throughout Melbourne and all regions of Victoria, including overnight stays, evening and some weekend work. You will have access to a fleet vehicle for all travel requirements.
Key responsibilities of the role include:

· Support corrective actions and track follow-up on non-compliance findings.
· Ensure integrity of audit data and accurate record-keeping in line with legislative and organisational requirements.
Please ensure you take a look at the Position Description here for additional information on accountabilities for this role.
About you
We are seeking a professional who is flexible, curious and resilient, and enjoys working as part of a small team and who can bring the following:
· Proven experience in auditing, training assessment, or regulatory compliance - preferably within high-risk industries.
· Strong knowledge of OHS legislation and the National Assessment Instruments for HRW.
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to interpret and explain complex standards to a diverse range of stakeholders.
· Analytical and investigative capabilities to identify non-compliance, recommend solutions, and support enforcement actions where necessary.
· Independence and resilience - comfortable working autonomously, including travel across Victoria (overnight and occasional weekend work is required).
Qualifications
· Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or Lead Auditor Qualification
· Current Victorian drivers licence
