Customer Service Assistant – Artarmon (Casual / Full-Time over Christmas)

Gourmet Basket is a national multi-award-winning gift hamper company delivering gourmet food, wine, pamper and baby gifts all over Australia. We are committed to providing an exceptional gifting experience to our customers and recipients.

We're looking for energetic and reliable Customer Service Assistants to join our friendly Artarmon team over the busy Christmas period.

This role will start at 2–3 days per week from early November, with hours increasing to full-time through late November and December during our busy Christmas season.

You'll be assisting with customer enquiries, order processing, and general office support, perfect for someone who enjoys a fast-paced, positive environment and loves helping people.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • First point of contact for all inbound calls and customer enquiries
  • Assist customers with product and gifting advice, placing orders, tracking deliveries, and processing returns
  • Respond to customer emails and tickets promptly and professionally
  • Multitask across multiple systems and platforms (Shopify, Gorgias, etc.)
  • Assist preparing online order paperwork when required
  • Support the team during busy periods with order processing and dispatch coordination

Skills and Experience:

  • Reliable, proactive, and accountable for the success of your role
  • Able to multitask and stay accurate under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow company procedures
  • Excellent communication and phone manner, you genuinely enjoy helping customers
  • Prior experience in customer service or eCommerce is a plus (but not essential)
  • Candidates with less than 2 years' customer service experience will be considered for this position
  • Tech-savvy with basic Microsoft Office and computer skills
  • Happy, vibrant personality that contributes to a great team culture
  • Flexibility for additional hours over the Christmas period is essential
  • Must be an Australian citizen to be eligible for this position
