Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Slater and Gordon Lawyers Full time $120,000 - $140,000 per year

HR Projects & Change Lead | 12month Max Term

Slater and Gordon Lawyers are a leading personal injury and class actions law firm where every member of our team has a shared passion for our clients: we are people caring for people.

Our commitment to our people includes offering genuine work-life balance, with a hybrid work environment allowing them to split their time between home and the office. We recognise and reward high performance and have outstanding employee benefits including a week of shutdown leave, paid parental leave, extra-long service leave, together with various ongoing learning and professional development opportunities.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in our transformation journey. As HR Projects & Change Lead, you'll be the driving force behind HR and organisational change initiatives, making sure projects not only get delivered but also embraced across the firm. You'll help leaders and employees navigate change with confidence, ensuring our culture, strategy, and people practices work hand in hand

What you'll do

In this role, you'll take ownership of people and culture projects from planning through to delivery, ensuring they run smoothly and deliver real outcomes. You'll design and implement change strategies that make new ways of working stick, while partnering with leaders, HR, and project teams to build capability and resilience across the business. Along the way, you'll keep projects on track by proactively solving problems, managing risks, and ensuring clear communication. Most importantly, you'll engage stakeholders at every level and bring people along on the change journey.

What you'll bring

You're a natural problem-solver and influencer, with experience delivering complex projects or change initiatives. You can balance structure with creativity, bring people along with you, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. If you've worked in professional services or regulated industries, that's a bonus, but what matters most is your ability to connect, collaborate, and drive results

What next?

If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply directly to Slater and Gordon. We prefer to talk with you personally and are not accepting applications from recruitment agencies.

To be eligible for this position, you must be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident, or hold a valid visa with full and unrestricted working rights in Australia. Proof of work rights will be required as part of the Slater and Gordon application process.

Acknowledgement of Country Slater and Gordon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all First Nations peoples today.
