About the Opportunity
Do you have a passion for visual storytelling and an eye for capturing the moments that matter?
Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI) is looking for a Content Specialist to bring our research, people, and community impact stories to life.
This is a hands-on creative role, perfect for someone who loves being behind the camera—filming interviews, events, and research activities—and shaping raw footage into compelling short-form content for social media, web, and campaigns.
This is a permanent part-time position (0.8 FTE, 30 hours per week) with flexible days and hours.
What you'll be doing:
• Capture and edit engaging video content that showcases HMRI's research and community impact.
• Support filming of interviews, events, and research environments using professional video and audio equipment.
• Edit footage using Adobe Premiere Pro (or similar), ensuring content aligns with HMRI's brand and storytelling style.
• Create supporting visual assets (images, graphics, and short-form video) for campaigns, social media, and the website.
• Collaborate with researchers, donors, and the marketing team to identify and develop content opportunities.
• Contribute creative ideas to strengthen HMRI's marketing and communications.
What you'll need:
• Experience using cameras, lighting, and audio equipment to capture quality footage.
• Familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro (or equivalent) for basic video editing.
• A strong eye for visual storytelling and creative detail.
• Organisational skills to coordinate shoots, manage content, and meet deadlines.
• Team-oriented mindset with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Enthusiasm, initiative, and a genuine interest in health and medical research.
This is a permanent part -time position 0.8 FTE working 30 hours per week. Days and hours of work are flexible.
