A leading, well-established independent insurance brokerage (third generation) on Brisbane's south side is looking for a proactive, switched-on and personable Assistant Account Executive to join their highly respected team supporting three busy Senior Brokers.
This role exists because the business is growing - and they want their Advisors spending more time with clients, supported by a strong, capable, reliable internal team who run the engine room with confidence and pride.

Your key responsibilities will include
- Proactively contributing as a key member of this tight knit support team
- Preparing renewals, new business quotes, endorsements and policy documentation
- Managing renewal, endorsement and new business quotes across Excel
- Ensuring compliance standards, internal audits and documentation accuracy
- Requesting COCs, chasing additional info, following up underwriters
- Making light outbound calls (no selling)
- Supporting Brokers with client queries
- Managing premium funding, payments, debtors and overdue follow-ups
- Suggesting improvements, updating templates, streamlining workflows
- Helping the business transition to new broking systems (Officetech/Javln/Sunrise)
What you will bring
- 3–5 years' experience in a general insurance support or Assistant AE role
- Experience with Insight, Sunrise or Officetech/Javln desirable
- Strong MS Office capability
- Highly proactive, solution-focused and organised
- Fast-paced, accurate, calm under pressure
- An inquisitive mindset, and a natural preference to identify opportunities for improvement
- Warm, team-oriented, resilient and enjoys having a laugh
