The Early Intervention Manager will provide proactive, high-quality early intervention to injured workers and employers through personalised face-to-face assistance, following notification of a psychological injury. Managing a portfolio and working with the claims team this role will enable you to facilitate effective workplace-based co-ordination of a timely and safe return to work that benefits an injured worker's recovery and helps employers manage their workers' compensation obligations. This role will be a great fit for a rehabilitation consultant with a focus on early intervention practices.
This will be a permanent, full time position based in the Sydney office, with flexibility to work from home for up to 3 days per week.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct community-based visits inclusive of but not limited to worksites or medical case conferences, within the first few days of incident notification.
Provide accurate and complete information that is consistent and easy to understand (including options about claims, entitlements, obligations & responsibilities).
Work closely with a variety of stakeholders including workers, employers and treatment providers, to assist them navigate the process of a workers compensation claim.
Actively measure, monitor, and review the effectiveness of early intervention involvement.
Drive continuous improvement in the space of early intervention facilitation.
Maintain awareness of industry developments and trends and provide recommendations for changes
ABOUT YOU
- Current Driver's License (mandatory).
- At least 5 years demonstrated experience in the co-ordination and facilitation of early intervention practices.
- Tertiary studies in Allied Health (Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling) is required.
- Qualification aligned to Occupational Rehabilitation, Psychology, Case Management or Mediation.
- Customer service experience.
- Experience working within the workers compensation industry.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A strong focus on mediating and facilitating reconciliation between parties.
