Job Title: Clinical Therapist - Early Intervention Specialist

The role of the Clinical Therapist - Early Intervention Specialist is to provide effective care during the critical early phase of mental health issues. This involves proactive engagement and initiation of clinical therapies in a collaborative care environment.

This position requires the ability to work with young people who are "at risk" of developing a psychotic disorder, providing psychosocial interventions aiming for maximal symptomatic and functional recovery and prevention of relapse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide assessment and consultation services for complex youth mental health presentations, outreach with stakeholders, and targeted interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with other agencies to deliver comprehensive support and care coordination for young people.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as an Occupational Therapist or Social Worker, with advanced skills in assessment and management of young people with mental health problems, including knowledge of current treatment approaches.

Requirements:

  • AHPRA registration for Occupational Therapists or Social Workers.
  • Demonstrated experience working with young people with complex needs.
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
