The Role
We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and highly skilled Behaviour Support Practitioner who is also interested in delivering behaviour consultancy within early intervention programs.
You'll work closely with children and young people, their families, and our multidisciplinary team to create meaningful, personalised behaviour support and skill-building programs.
This role offers the variety of:
- Developing and implementing NDIS Behaviour Support Plans in line with the Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework
- Developing, implementing and providing team supervision within early intervention programs alongside therapists (level 2 therapy assistants) to address skill development, behaviour goals, and family priorities
- Delivering services across clinic, home, preschool, and school settings
- Providing training, coaching, and guidance to families and support staff
- Collaborating with allied health, educators, and support coordinators to achieve the best outcomes for clients
Your role will involve:
- Delivering services in clinic, home, preschool, and school environments
- Conducting functional behaviour assessments and data analysis
- Coaching and training parents, educators, and support staff
- Collaborating with allied health, educators, and support coordinators
- Ensuring compliance with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission standards
About You
You are passionate about improving the quality of life for children and families. You thrive in a team environment and enjoy variety in your caseload. You have strong skills in evidence-based behaviour support and child development, and you communicate with warmth and clarity.
Essential Criteria
- Certified Behaviour Analyst (CBA)/Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) or equivalent credential, with current certification in good standing
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Applied Behaviour Analysis, Psychology, Education, Allied Health, or related discipline
- Current registration as an NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner
- Demonstrated experience in positive behaviour support and/or early intervention for children aged 1–18 years
- Strong understanding of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle
All required NDIS worker screening clearances:
Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- National Police Check
- Current First Aid + CPR certification
Desirable
- Experience delivering parent coaching and staff training
- Familiarity with developmental frameworks (training will be provided)
- Knowledge of early childhood education settings and collaboration with educators
