We are seeking a motivated Sustainability Advisor to support the development, implementation, and monitoring of sustainability initiatives across our projects and operations.

This role ensures compliance with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) commitments, client requirements, and industry best practice. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, subcontractors, and external partners to deliver sustainability outcomes that align with our company values and project objectives.

This is a rare opportunity to contribute to the North West Transmission Developments (NWTD) project, a landmark Tasmanian initiative shaping the future of renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor our Sustainability Strategy, policies, and contractual obligations across projects.
  • Provide guidance to project teams on embedding sustainability throughout planning, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
  • Collect, analyse, and report sustainability data (energy, waste, carbon, water, workforce diversity) to track performance.
  • Support projects in achieving sustainability certifications and ratings (e.g., ISC, Green Star, NABERS).
  • Partner with suppliers and contractors to promote sustainable materials, procurement, and emissions reduction initiatives.
  • Engage with clients, regulators, subcontractors, and community stakeholders on sustainability matters.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Qualifications in Engineering, Architecture, Planning, Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Sustainability or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a sustainability-focused role.
  • Familiarity with frameworks such as ISC, Green Star, NABERS, or equivalent.
  • A strong safety record and understanding of Work Health and Safety requirements.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proven ability to analyse sustainability data and prepare high-quality reports.
  • Proactive approach to identifying risks, opportunities, and continuous improvement.

Desirable:

  • Experience in utilities, construction, or the resources sector.
  • Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related discipline.
