Dealership Accountant

Autosports Group is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dealership Accountant to join our Victoria Finance Team based at Doncaster. In this dynamic and fast-paced role, you'll play a key part in supporting the preparation and reporting of dealership financials, contributing directly to the ongoing success of the business. This position offers strong opportunities for career growth for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts accurately and in a timely manner, in line with accounting standards
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Process and report on vehicle sales
- Analyse and report on Profit & Loss statements
- Calculate monthly commissions
- Ensure timely and accurate manufacturer reporting
- Assist in annual budgeting and forecasting processes
- Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) documentation
- Provide ongoing support to the Financial Controller
What We're Looking For:
- Tertiary qualification in accounting is essential
- CPA or CA qualified, or currently working towards completion
- Previous experience in an automotive dealership is desirable
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Advanced Excel skills
- Proven ability to adapt to a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead, mentor and motivate team members
