Group Admin Manager
McMaster Group is expanding fast across industrial services, heavy equipment hire, property development, and finance. With major contracts, national projects, and new ventures underway, we're now looking for a Group Admin Manager to strengthen and scale the backbone of our business.
This is a leadership role at the centre of our operations, designed for someone who can take strong existing foundations and elevate them into streamlined, group-wide systems that support growth. You'll be the central hub that connects our executives, teams, and stakeholders, ensuring the business runs as smoothly behind the scenes as it does in the field.
If you're a natural organiser, a process-builder, and a leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact.
What you'll be doing
- Lead and coordinate group-wide admin functions – overseeing document management, compliance, scheduling, procurement, and executive support across multiple business units.
- Design and scale systems – implement smarter processes, reporting, and policies that match the pace of growth.
- Executive support – partner closely with directors to manage priorities, ensure communication flow, and deliver on strategic initiatives.
- Build & mentor the admin team – guide staff, set clear expectations, and drive a culture of accountability and performance.
- Stakeholder liaison – be the trusted contact point for clients, suppliers, regulators, and internal teams.
- Support major projects – strengthen tenders, property deals, finance arrangements, and compliance requirements through robust admin.
What we're looking for
- Proven leadership – 5+ years in senior admin or office management, ideally across multi-entity or fast-growth businesses.
- Systems builder – experience implementing processes and tools that improved efficiency, compliance, or service delivery.
- Organisational strength – able to prioritise, delegate, and deliver in a complex, fast-moving environment.
- Strong communicator – confident dealing with directors, frontline staff, clients, and regulators.
- Commercial mindset – you see admin as a driver of business performance, not just support.
- Bonus – Tertiary qualifications in Business Administration or Management.
What we offer
- A pivotal leadership role shaping how admin supports a growing group of companies.
- Exposure to major clients and projects across resources, property, and infrastructure.
- Direct access to the leadership team – your input will influence how the group scales.
- Career development opportunities as we expand nationally.
- Competitive salary, flexibility, and a collaborative, supportive team culture.
About us
McMaster Group (Aus) is a diverse and entrepreneurial group of companies:
- Next Gen Industrial Services – supporting Rio Tinto and other majors with industrial services and remediation.
- McMaster Hire – supplying heavy plant and equipment across civil and industrial projects.
- Property Development & Investment – delivering residential and industrial projects across Tasmania.
- Finance & Asset Management – structuring investments and large-scale growth deals.
We're ambitious, fast-paced, and relationship-driven. As we continue to expand, the Group Admin Manager will play a central role in ensuring our systems, people, and processes keep pace with growth.
