WATM Crane Sales and Service is a privately owned, specialist, crane dealership with 50 years of experience in the industry. WATM leads the market in the supply and support of several of the world's leading brands, including exclusive distribution for Hiab and Manitowoc cranes. Our core business is in the sale and support of Cranes and Lifting Equipment.

Operating across three locations in Perth and the Pilbara region, WATM has purpose-built infrastructure spanning over 13,000m2. We are conveniently located in Bayswater.

About the role:

This is an HR/Health and Safety standalone role. You will be responsible for all day-to-day generalist HR functions such as providing advice and support on recruitment, HR systems, administration, and any HR operations projects. You will also be required to draft and implement WHS documents and procedures. You will work closely with the WATM leadership team to support all human resource objectives and address HR issues as they arise.

About you:

  • Solid recruitment experience, preferably in a skilled labour background,
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Fair Work principles and updates,
  • Current experience in a HR Generalist position,
  • Good knowledge and practical application/understanding of Modern Awards,
  • Experience in reviewing employment contracts and providing variation documents,
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
  • Ability to use company social media platforms to aid in recruitment processes,
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a personable and approachable demeanour. Your door always needs to be open
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision,
  • A robust and resilient approach to your work with a can-do attitude and a professional approach.
  • Ensure WHS Compliance: Identify hazards, conduct risk assessments, and implement control measures in line with WA Work Health and Safety legislation.
  • Incident Management: Investigate workplace incidents and near misses, maintain accurate records, and report findings to management and regulators.
