We are looking for an experienced
Intermediate Tax Accountant
to join a small but highly collaborative and growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive, fast-paced environment, where your contributions will directly impact the success of the business and its clients.

About the Role:

As an Intermediate Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality tax services, and assisting in strategic tax planning. You'll work closely with senior accountants and management, contributing to a range of tax compliance and advisory tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and lodge tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships.
  • Assist with tax compliance matters, including GST, FBT, and income tax.
  • Provide tax advice on a variety of matters, including structuring, planning, and business solutions.
  • Research and stay up-to-date on current tax legislation and industry changes.
  • Liaise directly with clients, providing exceptional service and building strong relationships.
  • Assist in managing client accounts and addressing client queries promptly.
  • Contribute to team efforts to improve internal processes and client satisfaction.

Who You Are:

  • Experience:
    At least 2-3 years of experience in tax accounting or public practice.
  • Education:
    CA/CPA qualified (or working towards qualification) or equivalent.
  • Technical Skills:
    Strong knowledge of tax compliance, tax laws, and accounting principles.
  • Communication:
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax matters in a clear and accessible manner.
  • Team Player:
    Comfortable working in a small, close-knit team environment with a hands-on approach.
  • Detail-Oriented:
    High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization in managing workloads.
