Our established Tenancy and Property team is looking for a leader who is skilled in a broad range of tenancy and property management services, with proven success in fostering strategic relationships with community agencies, contractors and key stakeholders. Our ideal leader is someone who will further enhance our capabilities in the design and delivery of preventative maintenance requirements; responding to tenant's requests for responsive or emergency maintenance; and managing enquiry, onboarding, and ongoing tenancy arrangements.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Management of the day-to-day operations of the Tenancy and Property division, and the leadership and development of up to three staff.
- Ensuring compliance of practice within organisational Policy and Procedure.
- Maintaining a contemporary understanding of relevant legislative compliance requirements.
- Managing ongoing compliance activities and subsequent reporting.
- Identification, management, and resolution of risks to safety, wellbeing, and operational sustainability.
- Retention and development of a preferred contractor network, to deliver planned, preventative, and responsive maintenance requirements for the business.
- Conducting competitive tenders and coordinating the execution of work order agreements, facilitating payment approval in line with budget.
- Managing complex internal and external stakeholder relationships, navigating successful enquiries, onboarding, and retention of residential tenants with an identified complex housing support need.
- Efficiently addressing opportunities for improvement or corrective actions.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of the organisational strategy to retain and grow market share, providing quality housing options that meet the needs of people with a disability.
About you
Your experience will have been in fast paced, detail orientated, asset management roles. You are efficient and professional in your approach and demonstrate strong leadership, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Additional requirements for this role:
- Tertiary qualification in either project management, safety management, business, real estate, or asset management or demonstrated equivalent practical experience in such fields.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a fast paced, detail orientated role.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation and people leadership skills.
- Proven experience in effectively understanding and managing compliance obligations.
- Experience coordinating tasks to meet regulatory compliance standards and manage risk.
- Budget management and reporting experience
- Proficiency with computer programs, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
Knowledge or experience in the below is highly advantageous:
- Knowledge of or lived experience of disability.
- Complex stakeholder management.
- Contract management
Mandatory requirements for this role include, a current NSW Drivers License, a NDIS Worker Screening Check, a current WWCC check and full Australian Work Rights. An offer will be made subject to a police clearance.
