Intelligenix is a business in the building & construction industry, focusing on building automation & control systems, we are based in Sydney and looking for a BMS Project Engineer to join our team. This role is hybrid and includes a competitive remuneration package.

We service the needs of small to large buildings and their building control and automation systems. We can manage the full lifecycle of a building control system i.e. design, installation, engineering, commissioning, ongoing maintenance and replacement.

This role is specifically targeted at the design & engineering aspects of control systems but opportunities to commission and service new & existing systems will also be involved.

Opportunity for travel within Australia and Internationally may also be available/required.

As a BMS Engineer you will be responsible for the following.

  • Design, program, and commission BMS control systems in collaboration with experienced engineers.
  • Integrate IoT devices and protocols into building systems.
  • Working independently as required within a supportive team.
  • Practicing a high level of safety awareness, to ensure safety requirements are always met.
  • Assist with estimating and tender preparation.
  • Work collaboratively alongside clients, contractors, and internal teams to deliver systems.

Skills and Experience

  • Degree (or near completion) in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering
  • Willingness to learn and be challenged.
  • Existing experience/knowledge of building systems (HVAC, Electrical, Hydraulic, etc).
  • Demonstrable experience using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel), AutoCAD experience is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with the Niagara Framework or a similar building control software package beneficial.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally (verbal & written) with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work as a team remotely.
  • Australian citizenship/Australian work visa.
  • Valid Australian driver's license is preferred.
