 The Closing the Gap Priority Reform 4 (PR4) Program, within NSW Department of Customer Service (DCS), is currently looking for a Shared Data Access Service Advisor to join their team

 About Us

 Between the Department of Customer Service (DCS) will work in partnership with Aboriginal Affairs (AANSW) and NSW Coalition of Aboriginal Peak Organisations (NSW CAPO) to deliver the Closing the Gap (CTG) Priority Reform Four (PR4) implementation and Aboriginal Data Sovereignty reform development work program (PR4 Program). DCS will work with all NSW Government agencies on key implementation actions on behalf of the partnership, to improve shared access to and shared decision-making regarding NSW Government-held data for Aboriginal communities.

 Primary purpose of the role:

 The Shared Data Access Service Advisor is a key team member for the Shared Data Access Service, which aims to improve access to NSW Government-held data for Aboriginal communities. This role will be responsible for drafting and developing program materials that articulate information and insights into compelling and visually engaging collateral. The role will be responsible for creating and designing program materials in ways that reflect and recognise Aboriginal worldviews both for Aboriginal community partners and government executives. In addition, the role will support the promotion and implementation of the Shared Data Access Service, working with Aboriginal data requestors when required.

 The Shared Data Access Service Advisor will contribute to the delivery of the NSW PR4 in ways that align with Aboriginal communities' needs and priorities to achieve NSW Government commitments of the National Agreement on Closing the Gap.

Your responsibilities will include:

  •  Researching and creating high-quality program materials for a range of government and community partners.
  •  Working within established design systems to produce visually engaging design collateral and material required to support the effective promotion of the NSW PR4 program and the Shared Data Access Service.
  •  Working collaboratively to deliver the whole-of-government Shared Data Access Service for Aboriginal communities.
  •  Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

 About you:

  •  Can think outside the box to solve complex scenarios.
  •  Can-do attitude with a strong work ethic and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  •  Experience working with Aboriginal communities and organisations, or in partnerships that involve government and non-government partners, to deliver high quality programs and services that meet the needs impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
  •  Have working knowledge of copywriting, communications strategies and visual design.
  •  Effective communicator who can explain complex concepts in an easy-to understand way to a diverse range of partners and stakeholders.
