The Department of Education is seeking a dynamic Training and Support Officer to join our team at the Dandenong Information Technology Training Centre. This role involves designing and delivering top-tier training for school administration systems such as Student Insight, CASES21, eCASES, and eduPay while providing expert support and guidance to schools across the region.

About the Role

Ongoing - Full time position

This School Systems Training and Support Officer role aims to provide high quality, professional school systems training and support for Department of Education administrative systems in schools, with a strong focus on high levels of client service.

Working from the Dandenong Information Technology Training Centre, the operational requirements of this role are to:

  • Develop, write and review relevant training documentation and materials for school systems including Student Insight, CASES21, eCASES and eduPay.
  • Deliver high quality school systems training in Student Insight, CASES21 and eduPay both face to face and virtually.
  • Deliver high quality support to schools; resolving Service Now logged tickets both in an ongoing capacity and in a 'surge support' capacity following the SAS 'agreed on' service delivery plan.
  • Provide advice and guidance to school education support staff and corporate staff on school processes, best practice and school systems.
  • Contribute to the day-to-day operations of a multi-skilled and geographically dispersed team by working collaboratively across the team, unit, branch and division.
  • Work on specific projects targeted at continuous service improvement, enhancement and client satisfaction.
  • Assist with the management of one or more regionally based Information Technology Training Centres (ITTC).

About the Department

The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services.

The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.

About the Division

The Information Management and Technology Division (IMTD) delivers innovative and integrated technology and information management services to support education outcomes across Victoria. The division is currently driving a digital transformation program to enhance technology maturity and innovation across the department.
