A new opportunity has arisen for a highly structured, detail-driven, and proactive Supply Chain Analyst to join a dynamic and growing business. This role is integral to the efficient management of procurement, inventory, logistics, and supply chain processes, ensuring operational excellence and cost-effectiveness across the organisation.

Reporting into the Procurement and Maintenance manager you will play a key role in optimising supply chain operations, with a strong focus on inventory control, procurement, supplier management, and process efficiencies. This role has high stakeholder engagement both internally and with external suppliers. Managing a complex SKU portfolio, this role requires a highly organised professional capable of streamlining supply chain and purchasing processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Order processing and inventory management, including reviewing sales orders, managing inventory levels, and overseeing purchase order processing.
  • Procurement and supplier engagement, managing overseas purchasing, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring optimal procurement strategies.
  • Logistics and freight management, overseeing global shipping, coordinating with freight forwarders, and ensuring cost-effective delivery performance.
  • Stock control and ERP management, overseeing stock rotation, product codes, and system efficiencies within Microsoft Dynamics MRP and Excel-based reporting tools.
  • Process and data optimisation, identifying opportunities for cost savings, streamlining procurement, and improving scheduling accuracy.

The ideal candidate will be structured, analytical, and detail-oriented, with a strong ability to challenge processes, drive efficiencies, and manage costs. If you have engineering knowledge and experience this would be considered highly advantageous

  • Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness, with the ability to assess procurement spend, quality, and supply chain performance.
  • Highly structured and process-driven, with experience managing both manual and system-based processes in a fast-paced environment.
  • A confident communicator, capable of engaging effectively with sales, production, and management teams.
  • Technically proficient with experience using ERP/MRP systems, stock management tools, and Microsoft-based platforms.
  • Experience in supply chain growth and optimisation, with a track record of improving stock efficiencies, procurement savings, and data management.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics within a manufacturing, engineering, or distribution environment.
  • Understanding of technical products and the ability to manage multiple supplier relationships, including overseas procurement.
  • High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a proactive mindset.
  • Experience working with global suppliers and logistics providers, holding them accountable for pricing, lead times, and service performance.
  • An engineering background is advantageous but not essential.
