Inventory Planner

**About the role**:
Reporting to the Procurement and Planning Manager, your main goal is effective inventory planning which includes aligning with customer demand, optimising inventory levels, and coordinating raw material procurement. You will maximise customer service, ensure production efficiency, and support business growth, while managing demand variability, supply chain disruptions, cost, and collaboration challenges.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

- Monitoring and purchasing rod stocks so that production plans may be achieved
- Ensure that the stock balances held at all remote depots meets forecast customer demand to meets sales and customer expectations
- Prepare inputs to the long-term Sales and Ops planning process
- Identifying and resolving constraints/opportunities and escalating as required
- Preparing and coordinating the business inventory plan
- Prepare budget spends for vendors as input to Wire business annual budgets, and monitoring
- Identify opportunities to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs
- Experience working in procurement or supply chain
- Hands-on experience in SAP or other ERP software
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- High attention to detail
- High tolerance to repetition (monthly and weekly planning cycles)
- Ability to prioritise in order to meet deadlines
- Certificate IV or Degree in Supply Chain or Planning is highly desirable
