About the role

As a newly created role, the Social Media Specialist will play a vital role in driving Putzmeister Oceania's social media strategy and supporting the overall growth, sales and regional presence of the Putzmeister and SANY brands in our region. This dynamic position blends creative execution with operational support to strengthen digital engagement and elevate online brand visibility across key platforms.

The Social Media Specialist is responsible for developing and scheduling engaging content, designing visual assets, and managing interactions across social media channels. The role also provides basic marketing administration and graphics support, contributing to campaign and event objectives in line with brand standards.

Through a mix of creative content delivery and process coordination, the Social Media Specialist will work closely with the marketing and sales teams to help achieve commercial objectives and strengthen long-term brand impact across the region.

What you will bring to the role

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative and / or Canva
  • Good organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Relationship building skills and strong levels of communication
  • Bachelor's degree, certificate or diploma in marketing, communications, design, or digital media related discipline
  • Strong understanding of social media algorithms and platform-specific best practices
  • Graphic design skills using brand guidelines and templates
  • Content repurposing skills (e.g. turning long-form into bite-sized social posts)
  • Knowledge of engagement metrics, performance tracking, and reporting
  • Confident written communication and awareness of copywriting best practices
  • Proven experience managing business social media accounts (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
  • Hands-on experience creating visual and video content for marketing use
  • Familiarity with scheduling platforms (e.g. Facelift, Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite)
  • Experience working in a B2B or industrial setting (e.g. construction, manufacturing)

  • Familiarity with brand asset management and maintaining media libraries

  • Experience preparing media files and materials for digital or print campaigns

  • Familiarity with paid social

  • Passion for brand-building and storytelling

  • Analytical mindset with interest in engagement metrics and performance reporting

  • Previous experience supporting marketing administration, events, or trade shows
