Senior Project Support Officer

Role: Senior Project Support Officer – ICT Salary: $84 + super p/h Contract Length: 2-year contract Location: Brisbane, CBD An exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Support Officer to join a highly respected public sector organisation in Brisbane, providing essential project administration and high-level support across a diverse portfolio of ICT initiatives.

What You'll Do

• Provide comprehensive project administration support for multiple complex ICT projects, ensuring all documentation, registers, plans, and progress reports are maintained accurately using eDRMS, SharePoint, and Enterprise Project Online.
• Monitor project budgets closely by preparing regular financial reports for Project Managers, managing purchase orders, and processing goods receipting through SAP systems.
• Apply conceptual and analytical skills to research solutions for intricate challenges, document workflows clearly, and ensure effective outcomes are achieved within set timeframes.
• Draft a wide range of project reports, spreadsheets, planning documents, and correspondence using various computer software packages to support informed decision-making.
• Organise meetings, workshops, forums, and focus groups with both internal and external stakeholders while taking detailed minutes to capture key actions and decisions.
• Deliver high-quality secretariat services to project boards by preparing agendas, recording minutes accurately, tracking actions and decisions diligently.
• Foster productive relationships with stakeholders at all levels by communicating effectively and supporting collaborative project outcomes.
• Support team members with diverse skillsets in achieving shared objectives by promoting teamwork and knowledge sharing across the branch.
• Manage project email inboxes efficiently to ensure timely dissemination of information to relevant parties.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with organisational policies regarding timesheets, travel claims, and other administrative processes.

What You Bring

• Demonstrated experience as a dedicated Senior Project Officer supporting ICT-enabled projects within complex operating environments where accuracy and timeliness are paramount.
• Proven proficiency in using project management tools such as eDRMS, SharePoint, Enterprise Project Online as well as financial systems like SAP for budget monitoring and procurement processes.
• Strong written and oral communication skills enabling you to prepare detailed reports, draft correspondence professionally, and interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within high-performing teams while managing conflicting priorities under tight deadlines.
• Experience organising meetings, workshops or forums including minute-taking responsibilities that require attention to detail and discretion when handling sensitive information.
• Experience working with Prince2 or Agile methodologies.
• Prior exposure to ICT infrastructure disciplines or government sector projects which enhances your ability to navigate complex organisational structures effectively.
• Capability in prioritising tasks efficiently while maintaining client service standards even when faced with diverse stakeholder expectations or shifting timelines.
• Familiarity with Content Manager or similar document management systems is highly regarded for maintaining compliance with organisational policies.
