The Opportunity

We are hiring a Senior Detailer to join our Technical Services team. This is a hands-on role providing detailing services to achieve works completion for the construction of electrical assets across Victoria. You will mentor and coach other detailers, allocate and monitor work to ensure timely completion, and intervene where necessary to ensure delivery of business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and retention of a highly motivated, enjoyable and passionate detailing team environment.
  • Provide detailing services, in accordance with all business, client, and network requirements.
  • Liaise with the Client, Contractors, PMs and the Utilities to assist in the completion of compliant, safe, and economic construction works.
  • Complete drafting works where required to update drawings and submit for approval.
  • Review and approve complex or high risk as-builts before submission
  • Develop, implement, monitor, and continually improve processes for the delivery of Detailing services.
  • Show continuous improvement in achievement approved As Built drawings, reporting on utility response times, trends, and initiatives implemented to bring about change.
  • Oversee risk analyses to identify, mitigate, and control construction risks on all project works undertaken by the Detailing team.
  • Ensure all projects are developed and executed safely, and in accordance with the needs of this business and the needs of Network Operators.
  • Assist in resolution of customer complaints relating to Detailing works.
  • Actively support team development and knowledge sharing

What You Bring

  • At least 3 years' experience in delivering electrical Detailing or "As Built" Drafting services in the Victorian Electricity Supply Industry.
  • Experience with use of GPS systems for detailing purposes.
  • Experienced in the use of electronic drafting systems including AutoCAD
  • Experience in reading, assessing and interpreting electrical design plans.
  • Ability to work constructively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in customer service and effective problem solving.
  • Exceptional time management skills to always deliver on client needs.
  • A focus on delivering results safely, effectively, and economically
  • Experience in VEDN Auditing (Civil, Cable Haul, Electrical), 3d Scanning, Modelling or Project Management would be advantageous but not required.
