The Role

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic Facility Maintenance Officer to join our friendly team on a part-time basis.

Location: Allowah, Dundas Valley

Employment Type: Permanent Part-Time, 24 hours a week across 3 days. This role will be 7am-3:30pm (days to be negotiated).

Remuneration: $32.68 per hour + salary packaging options available.

Here, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Undertake general maintenance officer duties, including but not limited to painting, fixing blinds, doors, lightbulbs, locks, lightbulbs and tubes within current regulations and standards
  • Repair equipment such as chairs, tables, gates, beds, windows and cupboards
  • Clean drains, pits, gutters and downpipes
  • Do minor plumbing and gardening works
  • Stack and sort deliveries
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
  • Coordinate and communicate with contractors
  • Do weekly bin runs
  • Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the maintenance shed
  • Steam clean, pressure wash and tidy the facility grounds
  • Obtain materials to perform cost effective maintenance
  • Identify and report maintenance trends to the Facility Manager
  • Prioritise safety
  • Maintain proper electronic record keeping of maintenance orders

Skills we're looking for

  • Communication: Written and verbal, to communicate across diverse groups
  • Time Management: Be organised and able to multi-task to meet deadlines
  • Computer Literacy: Maintain accurate records electronically
  • Attention to Detail: Be observant and thorough
  • Reliability: Follow instructions and complete tasks to the required standard

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum 1 year experience in Facilities Maintenance
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence
  • Working at Heights Certificate

If successful, you will need to obtain the following prior to commencement:

  • Working with Children Check
  • NDIS Workers Check
  • Police Check

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience reading and working to basic plans
