Good Neighbours Australia (GNAU) is part of the Good Neighbours global partnership network which reaches around 9.8 million people in 51 countries each year, including some 218,000 sponsored children.
Our mandate is to reach out to our neighbours suffering from poverty, disasters and oppression to rebuild hope and achieve self-reliance. GNAU was launched in 2018 to respond to local needs within the Australian community, while also reaching out to our neighbours, particularly in South and Southeast Asia.
Our development projects focus on education, health, water and sanitation, and creating training and employment opportunities, empowering girls and women in particular.
Role Purpose
To support the marketing and communication team to: increase its campaign reach across our social media and digital platforms, by creating engaging content; capturing and analysing campaign results; and processing, storing and sharing images and associated informed consent documentation with our partners.
Key Responsibilities

Support
- Assist in the production and maintenance of blogs and landing pages for fundraising and awareness campaigns, and search engine optimisation
Social Media Support
Assist in the production of social media and web content including reels, stories, and photo series
Communications Image Support
Assist in sorting, labelling and filing project images and informed consent documentation, and sharing with our partners
- Insights Support -
Assist in capturing and analysing data and key insights to contribute to continuous improvement
Skills and Experience
This role would suit a student looking for work experience with an NGO and requires strong time management, given the part-time hours
- Highly effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write engaging copy for blogs and social media content
- Design skills, with the ability to create compelling visuals for our social media platforms and utilising existing templates and/or brand guidelines
- Knowledge and experience of using Wordpress, Canva, and Meta Business Suite is essential to performing this role.
- Candidates with exposure to Meta Business Analytics and an ambition to contribute or continue a career with a not for profit will be considered favourably.
